This advanced course focuses on the process of analyzing and formulating a comprehensive restructuring plan and turnaround strategy with the unique perspective of varied constituencies who are stakeholders in a distressed company (e.g. management, secured debt, bondholders, equity). Students will work individually and in teams to develop a detailed strategic course of action as it relates to the proposed restructuring of a complex business and then present it as student teams. The emphasis of this intensively interactive course is on applying concepts and techniques studied in various functional areas to the restructuring and turnaround environment, including finance, strategy, operations and marketing.
Note: Must have Management and Strategy Chair approvial to count for credit for MGMT major
